I decided to breathe a new life into the Kiev racecourse to regain its honour to the city and the entire country.

HEART DISEASE CENTRE Fulfilled
In December 2007, Clinical Hospital “Kiev City Heart Disease Centre”, the only clinic of its kind in Ukraine, opened its doors for the patients.

FLOWER CLOCK Fulfilled
In 2009, on the eve of the Independence Day, August 23, we unveiled one of the biggest flower clocks in Europe and worldwide.

FERRIS WHEEL Wasn't fulfilled due to technical reasons which arose at the nick of time
In 2009, we decided to go back to the idea of installing the ferris wheel in Kiev which was to become the largest wheel in the CIS region with over 70 meters in its diameter.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE PROMOTION Fulfilled
3.5 thousand playgrounds and sports grounds. The system of free sports clubs commenced its activities, about 500 full-time teachers additionally participated in sports education of young people of Kiev. 202 children's playgrounds and 17 sports grounds were restored.

MAYOR’S HOUR Fulfilled
In 2007, the television and radio broadcasting company “Kiev” started broadcasting the TV program “Mayor’s Hour” every Friday. It always went on screen at a set hour – 7 pm, and lasted for one hour.

GEORGIY GONGADZE MONUMENT Fulfilled
On June 24, 2008, I signed a decree “On erecting the monument to journalist Georgiy Gongadze and to journalists who died under unascertained circumstances”.

PUBLIC HEARINGS Fulfilled
All crucial decisions by both Kiev Council and KCSA were made only after having discussed them with the citizens of Kiev live on air. I was the only public servant in Ukraine to hold such kind of discussions with the people.

WALKWAY OF JOURNALISTS Fulfilled
In 2009, I opened the Walkway of Journalists in Vidradnyi park on Heroes of Sevastopol street

CALL CENTER Fulfilled
Besides, it was important that people trusted this service, they trusted me, in particular - as they knew that when they called "15-51", they could have their problem solved, any problem, and most importantly - they could do it without any bribes, connections, and absolutely free!!!

On December 25, 2008, pursuant to the Decision of the Kiev City Council, a municipal enterprise "Best Home" was created.

The idea of “Kievan's social card” was to give people a possibility to get a nearly 10% discount on goods or services.

My personal reception of citizens outside the City Hall was a know-how in our country and our society. But I had started doing it long before I came into high office of Kiev mayor.

GOLD BARS FOR PROMPT PAYERS OF HOUSING AND PUBLIC UTILITY SERVICES Fulfilled
In 2008, a prize drawing was initiated among the most conscientious utility bills payers, those who always paid for services received in a timely manner. There were about 94 thousand payers like that.

FIGHT AGAINST GAMBLING BUSINESS Fulfilled
From 2006 to June 2009, more than 8 thousand inspections of gambling establishments were carried out in Kiev, more than 2 thousand slot machines were dismantled and confiscated.

In March 2009, a working group was created under my order to implement Kiev’s “Municipal Taxi” program.

KIEV CITY COMMUTER TRAIN Fulfilled
One of the main challenges for me as a mayor was to ensure the Kievans use European standard transport services. Thus, an idea to launch the Kiev city commuter train was born.

BAN ON PARKING IN GREEN ZONES Fulfilled
The Program “Preservation of green zones in Kiev. Taking photos of violators” was developed to solve the problem of illegal parking in the green zones of Kiev.

TOW TRUCKS Fulfilled
Tow trucks was not a personal whim of the Kiev Mayor but only one of the ways to clear the traffic jams in the streets of the capital. I am grimly determined to return the tow trucks on the streets of the capital.

BAN FOR FREIGHT CARRIERS TO ENTER KIEV Fulfilled
In 2006 I signed and issued the order of the Kiev City State Administration on particular measures aimed at restricting the entry of commercial motor vehicles into Kiev.

WATERBUS AND WATER TAXI Fulfilled
On July 24, 2009 the grand opening of the waterbus in Kiev took place. Its route went from the Postal Square to Berezniaky through the “Dnipro” metro station.

In 2009, I decided to create a network of helipads within the city. We planned to make helicopters a full means of urban transportation.

I wanted to implement a project according to which in Kiev - the city which is home to at least 20% of very rich people - this very category of citizens incurred the bulk of expenses in terms of payment for utility services through differentiation of rates.

AUTO AUCTIONS Fulfilled
In order to save the budget and reduce the costs for the bureaucratic machine, I decided to organize a car auction to sell vehicles owned by Municipal Enterprise “Motor Transport Enterprise of the Kiev City Council.”

LUNCHES WITH ENTREPRENEURS Fulfilled
All the presidents of the United States make a practice of such public meetings with the representatives of business aimed at filling the national budget, but it was the know-how for Ukraine and for Kiev.
